Pilotwings, Nintendo's flight simulator is available on the Wii U Virtual Console worldwide, Nintendo announced.
For $7.99, via the Wii U eShop, players can purchase the game; for $1.50, owners of the Wii Virtual Console version can upgrade the game to its Wii U counterpart. Players earn pilot licenses in Pilot Wings, and can take to the skies via plane, hang glider, or by strapping on a rock belt. Further, the Wii U version supports GamePad-only gameplay.
The original game, which released for Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1991 was ported to the Wii Virtual Console in 2009.
