The Tokyo Game Show draws record number of attendees

Computer Entertainment Supplier's Association (CESA) and Nikkei Business Publications have announced that 270,197 fans from all over the world attended this year's Tokyo Game Show. While last year, the number of attendees was 223,753.

The boon, according to statistics represents an increase in attention towards the video game trade show. Further inquiry revealed record-breaking numbers for single day digits, and accordingly 102,399 attendees were recorded on Sept. 21 and 115,444 on Sept. 22.

Organizers of the show have stated that 352 video game companies showcased video games and peripherals.

The Tokyo Game Show has always been a staple for Japanese gamers, news reporters and developers. While the Japanese video games market has less influence these days, its trade show does not. The Tokyo game show will run Sept.18-21 next year at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.

Big thanks to those lucky organizers. I believe the value here is in the organization of these products and companies. When it's fair and equal, everyone not only benefits with great cards, but can also rejoice in progress achieved. A wonderful feat.
