Google Chromebooks Coming to Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, and More

Google has strung up deals with more retail chains, and online retailers for its Chromebook series. Thus, increasing the availability of the company's Google OS-powered Chromebook. Retailers such as Walmart, Staples, Office Depot, Office Max, Fry’s, and TigerDirect will begin to stock a selection of Chromebooks. Which will be available starting this Summer, and in "the coming months." The move, consequently will increase the Chromebook's market penetration. And, well beyond just the likes of retailers Best Buy and Amazon here in the states. Walmart, however, will be the only retailer allotted the 16GB SSD-equipped version of the $199 Acer C7.

Google is attempting to stretch out its line up of Chromebooks abroad, after penetrating several other countries last year. Last year, the Google Chromebook was first introduced. A Total of 6,600 stores worldwide carry the Chromebook. Three times as many as when first introduced.
