Sega is in a bid to buy Japanese Developer Atlus

Bloomberg Japan reports that Sega Sammy Holdings is one of twenty prospective bidders for developer Atlus. Parent company Index Corporation initially expected only fifteen billion yen for the Japanese games studio, but bids have reportedly reached twenty billion yen. Furthermore, Bloomberg reports that a deal is could be completed by the end of the month.

While Index Corporation has filed for bankruptcy and owes $224 million dollars in debt, Atlus is still operational. Dragon's Crown will still ship on schedule for the PS3 and PS Vita.
